I write. I design. Sometimes I even write about design. I love nothing more than muling over the weird, wise and unconventional nature of our world.
I think of myself as an idea broker - someone versed in the art of taking one idea and fusing it with another. I’m used to stitching together art, copy, strategy and design into experiences that tickle a fancy.
As an advertising copywriter, I’ve brought big-budget brand ideas to life. As a freelance designer and creative, I’ve told thoughtful stories with a human touch. I’ve been fortunate to have some excellent adventures along the way.
Here’s the highlight reel:
I have interviewed executives, comedians, farmers and famous cricketers.
I have helped Fortune500 companies define their principles, and their CEO’s connect with stakeholders and employees.
I’ve been in the trenches with startups polishing pitch decks on deadline day. And, I’ve helped political parties campaign (and win!) a national election.
In between, I’ve pushed my fair share of box-deal burger meals. And helped sell everything from circuit breakers to cereal, shampoo to smart phones.
I’ve done work for the world’s most sustainable company* (per 2021 rankings). Helping manufacturers and industry do much more, using much less.
I’ve impersonated an Italian in a radio spot - poorly - and wrote an aussie tv-spot on local slang that I’ll admit I still don’t fully understand.
Once, I wrote a book about cheese pairings. And this other time I defined the style, tone and manner for the rebrand of a global insurance giant.
In 2020, I wrote and produced a short film, Shadow Harbour (Shortlisted* Musicbed), in 29 days with my longtime friend and first-time collaborator, Domingo La’marre.
Throughout this wide and meandering journey, I’ve built an understanding of how design can empower clear communication. It’s my mission to learn from the brightest in branding, strategy, psychology and story craft. And, I want to share this knowledge with you.
If you’re looking for a resourceful, team-centric creative, we should talk.
